The SX has the 200cc motor that first debuted on the TV200, but with better gearing. It also has the disc brake only found on Innocenti’s top of the line scooters. Additionally, the SX200 has side panels that are unique to this model alone, and the ox-blood color seat, also unique to the SX200. Certainly, they are quick enough to more than hold their own in modern city traffic.
Every true scooterist wants one of these, and they rarely come up for sale on the open market. Those that have survived tend to stay in hard-core scooterists’ collections, and when they are sold, it is usually privately among enthusiasts. It is one of the ultimate scooters. This SX is in superior condition.
One look at it tells the tale. It was restored in Italy before we acquired it, and it is indeed a very nice scooter. A true classic, and one scooter that will always be at the top of the list of the all-time greats. This is the scooter to own.
