LAMBRETTA 125 SPECIAL (L-69)

In Italy, Innocenti created versions of its popular scooters in various displacements to satisfy the home market. Many European countries had graduated driver’s licenses that were limited to different displacement vehicles. This is one of the scooters Innocenti made to allow sales to the 125cc license holders. It is identical to the 150 Special, but with a slightly smaller displacement top end.

We found this scooter on a recent trip to Italy, and though not perfect, it just looks quite nice.

There are not many of these 125’s in the US, so it has some curiosity value there as well. For someone looking to do some engine performance modifications, this is a good option. It is priced lower than a 150 or 175, but has the exact same bodywork. Ride as-is, or use this as your basis for a speed-demon Lambretta. The choice is yours!
