1979 Vespa P200 E (C5)
The P200 E represents the final evolution of the 2-stroke, manual transmission Vespas and is known for its performance and reliability. This is a solid example previously owned by a local Vespa expert and enthusiast. Looks very good with paint that is mostly original except for the cowls which have been redone in a properly matched color. You can see at first glance the high level of care and maintenance that this Vespa has enjoyed. Runs great and no issues. Ready for adventure and up to the challenge of modern roads and traffic.
An outstanding rideable classic with all the right stuff. This sharp looking Vespa features a powerful 200cc engine, 4 speed manual transmission, oil injection, 12 volt electrics for easy starting and bright lights. The motor and drivetrain are stock and in excellent condition. Has a Bitubo shock on the front, which improves handling and steering response. It also has a new battery, and all the electrical stuff works, including the neutral light. Odometer shows 15.5 K miles, believed accurate, but TMU. The P200 E is a Vespa that will deliver great fun and reliable performance.
This particular scooter is a very clean and largely original example. If you went to your Vespa dealership in the 70’s, this is what you would have found at the top of the line. It is a near-perfect time capsule. Very roomy, comfortable dual saddle, spare tire on board and useful storage space make this a true urban errand runner. Perfect for blasting around the Bay Area. Plenty of power for the hills and a passenger, smooth ride, great handling and good brakes. This is a vintage bike with no performance compromise, ready for today’s city traffic.
