1967 LAMBRETTA Special X150 (L112) With Custom SIDECAR (L113)

We acquired this excellent Lambretta Special X150 from a collector in the province of Bari in Southern Italy. Features a professional restoration a few years ago to original specifications. Looks very good and starts, runs and rides well. The Special X150 was part of Lambretta's Series III line and bridged the gap between the standard models and the higher-performance SX200 range. It features the “Jet Age” styling similar to the SX200. It was known for its blend of style, reliability, and performance, making it a favorite among enthusiasts and commuters alike. Comes with the original documents and ASI registration. This scooter is well suited to a Lambretta sidecar rig. The Lambretta Special X150 is a model with a solid reputation, highly sought after by vintage scooter collectors and enthusiasts.

The Special X150 delivers brisk performance and solid handling. It has the power and torque to handle the sidecar.  The new “Slimstyle” bodywork for the mid-60’s Series III Lambrettas was very attractive and modern, and proved very popular. The SX150 motor is known for smooth and ready power and reliable operation.

We acquired the scooter solely with the intent of mating it to the bespoke custom sidecar that we commissioned from an Italian artisan fabricator. The engine is original and all details are faithful to the model year. Overall excellent condition and perfectly suited to the sidecar. Our custom bespoke sidecar is an all-original design - stylish and functional, entirely crafted by hand. This unique combination is fully prepped and is ready to take you back in time.

Our technicians have gone thru the bike and provided a full service. The odometer shows only 100 Km and obviously was reset during the restoration, TMU. This iconic moto has many neat details to accent the sidecar combo. All badges and decals are correct. The sidecar is neatly upholstered in deep red vinyl and matched to a new seat. There is a folding rear rack mounted with a spare tire. The is a chromed wire luggage grid on the sidecar. There is an artful chrome handrail at the front of the passenger compartment and a chromed accent lamp atop the sidecar fender. This scooter makes a very positive impression and runs as good as it looks.

Regarding our custom bespoke sidecar rig … it is a unique custom design, stylish and functional. Entirely crafted by hand using traditional coachwork techniques and artisan skills. The quality of the fabrication and paint finish is exceptional and the combination of the SX150 and the custom sidecar is a fabulous match.

The sidecar is a true piece of machine art designed and fabricated by a skilled craftsman in central Italy. A bespoke creation of a true artist, this custom sidecar was designed and built specifically for this application and combination with the Lambretta SX150. The all metal construction includes the sidecar frame, chromed hardware for attachment to the scooter, spring suspended cabin with upholstered seat, hand rail and luggage rack … all crafted to a fine standard. Elegant lines and exceptional finish are displayed proudly on this truly special creation. The Special X150 wears the original color from the previous restoration showing some minor patina, and the sidecar, including all frame elements, has been finished to match in Alpine White.
