1961 Vespa VBB 150 (BM251)
One of the most iconic and popular classic Vespa models, this 1961 VBB is a really cool scoot. Very nice shape overall, clean cosmetics and good mechanicals. This is an older restoration, that was completed a few years ago and saw some limited use since. Exceptionally clean, but there are a a few paint chips and dings. Runs and drives very well after our recent service, no leaks or issues observed. A really special classic in great shape and ready to show or enjoy. This VBB is really in the sweet spot not over restored, showing a little patina but overall in great shape.
When we acquired the unit it was missing a few parts and needing a minor tune up. We just installed a new headlight assembly and a correct tail lamp assembly. Both headlight and tail light are high quality OEM parts and look brand new. Speedometer/odometer is a replacement piece, so not actual mileage, but overall condition shows that this Vespa certainly has plenty of life left. Everything works but the glovebox lock - the housing is there but there's no actual lock or key. Easy to replace if so desired.
When you think of a Vespa, the VBB is the one that you picture in your head: this is it. The classic shape, the curves, the whole package. In the 1960’s, this scooter has set the standard for what a scooter should be: stylish and extremely reliable.
