1960 Vespa GS150 VS5 (BM376)
Classic model in great shape, a rare find. One of the most historically significant Vespa Models in rideable, collectable condition. This example is coming out of Northern Italy. Owned by an enthusiast it shows as aces in all regards. Complete and very original, this Vespa has been ridden and shows authentic patina. Overall good condition showing some age and character, nice, but not too nice to ride. Looks cool, runs well, ready to enjoy.
The VS5 model is the final version of the classic GS150 and is one of the rarest large frame, wide-body models. The voluptuous curves and elegant lines define the iconic style that made Vespa so popular. Considered by many the most beautiful of all classic Vespas, the GS150 also offered great handling and stability via 10" wheels, plenty of power and a 4-speed manual gearbox. The GS 150 was the first Vespa fitted with a dual saddle as well. These features make it one of the most rideable vintage Vespas.
Various unique details make the GS 150 VS5 a visual delight including the unique tail light, the sensuous rear cowl panels and the graceful handlebar fairing.
Performance and handling are of a very high order, especially so for the period. Top speed is over 60 mph, brakes and chassis well able to handle that speed. The GS150 is a wonderful machine to drive. It is very nimble and fast. Even now, over 60 years from its debut, comports itself well on today's roads. The design was so far ahead of its time, that it still looks fresh, and its "sporting" motor is fast enough to keep up with modern traffic.
