1959 LAMBRETTA Li 125 Series 1 (L86)
Concours restoration of one of Lambretta’s most historic models. This Li 125 Series 1 has been recently restored to Concours condition, presenting as new in all regards. Two-tone professional paint finish in the original colors shines with a deep luster. Overall immaculate exterior and sound mechanicals. Fitted with new dual saddles in tan, a new rubber floor mat and a clip-on rear view mirror on the left cowl. An FMI certification plate is affixed to the left side legshield. Truly a museum quality scooter that is iconic and unique. Odometer shows 14,747 miles TMU.
The Li 125 Series 1 was introduced in 1958 and produced for only two years. A fresh design in all regards, the Series 1 formed the basic platform upon which all future models were based. Styling was sleek with all mechanicals covered with attractive panels. The motor was an all-new design with many improvements and 6.5 hp. Performance is modest, but certainly adequate for city rides.
Wheel size was upgraded to 10” with a consequent improvement in ride and handling.
