This is a very early Allstate Vespa, from the second year that they were imported to the US. Before Piaggio had any Vespa dealerships, Sears was the only place you could buy one over here. They were quite a hit, and Sears sold them for around 15 years. These early Allstates are very hard to find, as many were simply ridden hard and used up. This one has been repainted, and though not a concourse level job, the paint looks good. At the time it was painted, it had a mechanical freshening, and runs well. This scooter even sports an original “Allstate” tire on the spare (for display only). Now that’s a rare accessory, on a very rare scoot!
